Städte stehen im Zentrum globaler Herausforderungen – vom Klimawandel über soziale Ungleichheit bis hin zu nachhaltiger Mobilität und Ressourcennutzung. Gleichzeitig bieten sie großes Potenzial für innovative und transformative Lösungen.

Im Urban Sustainability Lab beschäftigen wir uns mit nachhaltiger Stadtentwicklung aus einer praxisorientierten Perspektive. Das Seminar verbindet theoretische Impulse mit Exkursionen, Gruppenarbeiten und der Analyse konkreter Praxisbeispiele.

Wir reisen gemeinsam nach Hamburg. Vor Ort setzen wir uns mit urbanen Nachhaltigkeitskonzepten auseinander und entwickeln eigene Ideen für lebenswerte, inklusive und zukunftsfähige Städte.

Urban Sustainability Lab: Sustainability in Practice

Cities are at the center of global challenges—from climate change and social inequality to sustainable mobility and resource use. At the same time, they offer great potential for innovative and transformative solutions.

In the Urban Sustainability Lab, we explore sustainable urban development from a practice-oriented perspective. The seminar combines theoretical input with excursions, group work, and the analysis of concrete real-world examples.

We will travel together to Hamburg. On site, we engage with urban sustainability concepts and develop our own ideas for livable, inclusive, and future-oriented cities.
